Students from Mrs. Tolentino’s 4th grade class celebrated Pi Day by learning about the origin of Pi, creating their Pi buttons which they taped to their shirts. They measured the circumference, diameter, and radius of their buttons. In addition, students created their own Pi skyline by plotting the digits of Pi and creating a beautiful skyline! It was either a black skyline or a pattern of beautiful colors!

The students in Room 304 had such a wonderful time learning about their feelings /emotions through Art Yard Brooklyn's project on Self Portraits. It also was a perfect time to discuss emotions and how they are dealing with the current situation, the "lockdown" and eventually "back to normalcy." The lesson was interactive and gave the students an opportunity to share feelings and emotions they experience at different times. We extended the activity by writing about their emotions/feelings that they showed in their portrait.
And finally, students were excited to show off their work, to highlight their Self Portraits, and to celebrate the "HEAL AND RESTORE" theme of the Art Yard Brooklyn. Special thanks to Dennis and Evelyn who worked with our class!

Our students and staff engaged in Reading activities from Pre-k to Grade 5. Students wore silly socks, fun hats, favorite sports jerseys, and read all kinds of great stories in every single classroom!

The Otis Lennon Schools Ability Test (OLSAT) will be administered to current fifth and sixth-grade students who seek admission to the Acceleration and Enrichment Program and/or Infinity Institute for September of 2022. The students must currently reside in Jersey City, meet eligibility criteria, and be enrolled in either a parochial, private, or charter school.

Our students and staff had a blast celebrating the love of reading and wearing our hats for Top Hat Tuesday!!

We will be having a Dress Down Fundraiser on behalf of the district for this Friday, March 4th. Our students can still wear their favorite team apparel for the Read Across America activities. We will send a portion of fundraising to both "Razom for Ukraine" as well as our local Ukrainian Community Center on Fleet Street.
