The competition was tough as our third, fourth, and fifth grade classes held their Classroom Spelling Bees in December to determine who would represent their classrooms. Over the break and after the break, serious studies ensued as our students studied at home and in study groups in school to compete in the whole school Spelling Bee held in our newly renovated auditorium on January 12, 2024.
It is our Third Annual School Spelling Bee! The students were awarded a Classroom Spelling Bee medal on stage by Mr. Apruzzese and Mrs. Faccone for their hard work in the class Bees. After a tough competition, the WINNER of this year’s J. W. Wakeman School Spelling Bee is Srushti Kagalgomb from Grade 5 Room 31. The runner up is Prithvi Ashok from Grade 4 Room 308. We are so very proud of all of our staff and families for making our School Spelling Bee a positive academic experience for our students!
