The New Jersey State Seal of Biliteracy

The New Jersey State Seal of Biliteracy was established to recognize high school graduates with intermediate-high proficiency in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in one or more world languages.
The Jersey City Public School district participates in this national initiative
and encourages all students to embrace the learning of a world language starting in Kindergarten.
Please check out the video that showcases the benefits of receiving this
award. The district aims to develop students’ heritage language skills and to embrace learning world languages, which will effectively prepare them for the challenges of the multilingual global community.
